MACNI Assessment & Care Plan Coordination
We are a registered provider of Assessment and Care Plan Development for the Department of Families, Fairness, and Housing (DFFH) under the Multiple and Complex Needs Initiative (MACNI). We develop targeted, evidence based, holistic Care Plans, based on comprehensive assessment of the person and their supports. The assessment includes detailed recommendations for the person and services involved in their care. Consultation is sought throughout the assessment phase with everyone involved, including the person, their care givers and services. Regular consultation with the MACNI Coordinators and the DFFH occurs throughout. We bring both clinical expertise to Care Plan development and Coordination.

Risk Assessments
We conduct risk assessments for people with intellectual disabilities. Many of these clients have had some involvement with the criminal justice system, or display challenging and risky behaviours.

Positive Behaviour Support, Staff Training & Consultation
We conduct Functional Behavioural Assessments and develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans. We also provide ongoing training to support staff on implementing the behavioural support strategies.
We also provide tailored training packages to meet your needs, as well as provide secondary consultation to staff and care teams working with complex clients.

Cognitive & Adaptive Behavioural Assessments
We assess children’s level of cognitive and adaptive functioning. Based on information obtained from assessing your child, a comprehensive report is provided as well as a feedback session. The report provides an overview of your child’s cognitive and adaptive functioning and strengths, and areas of improvement are identified. These assessments can provide a measure of overall IQ and can also assess more specific areas of functioning such as short-term memory, long-term memory, working memory, abstract reasoning, visuo-spatial and visuo-motor skills. The report also includes practical recommendations for both home and school, or anyone who supports your child. Sometimes, assessment results may indicate that your child may be eligible to apply for funding to access supports at school through the Department of Education and Training (DET).
