As a Rebecca Lovell Psychology client, you have the following rights and responsibilities:
Your Rights
To be treated with dignity and respect, without discrimination based on age, religion, sexuality, ethnicity, gender, disability or any other basis.
To be fully informed about the services you can expect to receive (unless an explicit exception has been agreed upon in advance, or it is not reasonably possible to obtain informed consent).
To have the right to an advocate.
To have your privacy and confidentiality maintained and having your information managed in a way that complies with relevant legislation.
To have access to information relating to you.
To be free from sexual harassment, exploitation or coercion.
To access quality care appropriate to your needs.
To have your individual needs and preferences considered, and your views and opinions will be respected.
To participate in decisions about your needs.
To make a complaint about the services you are receiving, either to the service or to an external complaints body.
To have your information managed in a way that complies with relevant legislation.
To receive a clear explanation of costs involved.
Your Responsibilities
To disclose any relevant history.
To treat staff fairly and with respect.
To accept responsibility for decisions you make regarding your care, and to make every effort to engage with the agreed treatment.
To respect the rights of staff to work in an environment free from harassment, discrimination or other offensive conduct.
To not place staff in any circumstances that could place their physical or mental wellbeing in jeopardy.
